As a part of the ISO9000+ quality management system, a reference to standards is required in addition to precise documentation of the measurements performed. This means that the measured values can be traced back to national standards or measurement standards. globalPoint ICS uses a precise system with a traceable DKD reference (accuracy +- 0.2°C) for calibrations.

The annual calibration of the electronics is recommended. The PTP® electronics are tested and calibrated at 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 °C and 0, 100, 200, 300, 600, 900 and 1200 °C respectively.

Measured calibration values are documented in a calibration certificate. The calibration software must be applied to all PTP® installations used for measurement.

With the certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 incl. DIN EN ISO 10012 (measuring equipment management) globalPoint ensures highest quality. From 2015 the further developed PTP® quality management tool is in use.
